So… I made it through chapter 11 “Nation and Race” of Mein Kampf by Adolph Hitler. This is by far the one chapter that makes me wonder how people could have read this and not seen the evil behind this man… and the lunacy.
He presents himself as a historian, biologist, even a pastor… without so much as one shred of evidence… and people believed the garbage put forth in this chapter. For example, on page 288, he says, “Everything we admire on this earth today – science and art, technology and inventions – is only the creative product of a few peoples and originally perhaps of one race.” Then a couple paragraphs later he says, “All great cultures of the past perished only because the originally creative race died out from blood poisoning” (which is what he calls mixing of races). And on the next page, in case anyone was unsure of what he was thinking, he states, “All the human culture, all the results of art, science, and technology that we see before us today, are almost exclusively the creative product of the Aryan… he alone was the founder of all higher humanity…”
And he goes on and on and on about how great the Aryan race is and how superior it is to all other races. Page after page he talks about how they’re responsible for all of culture of the other races; how they are more self-sacrificing than other races; how they are more giving, etc. Then after about a billion pages of this blathering, he says on page 300, “The mightiest counterpart to the Aryan is represented by the Jew.”
And now it’s page after page of his “evidence” against the Jewish people. I’m not going there… it is much to vicious. I will make one little point, however. In his “reasoning” he states that the Jews know nothing of self-sacrifice, comparing to how the German soldier would gladly die for his nation. But he seems to forget one amazing sacrifice that a particular Jewish man made on behalf of the entire world, past, present and future. His name was Jesus… and I’d dare anyone to find another person, of any race, who sacrificed as much as He did, for as many as He did.
I win! Case closed!
Anyway, Hitler goes back on his tirade that the Jewish people are to blame for everything from the economic situation to black people migrating into Germany.
Yes, people took this seriously. I don’t get it.
As I said, I’m not going to get into details of what he said. It’s much too harsh and isn’t worth repeating such filth.
I’m halfway through chapter twelve: The First Period of Development of the National Socialist German Workers’ Party… and that will conclude the end of Volume 1 of Mein Kampf. (Apparently 370 pages of this nonsense wasn’t enough). I’ll wait and post my thoughts on chapter 12 after I’ve finished it… then only 320 pages left! Herman and Sherman (my last two remaining brain cells) will be grateful when this is over.
