\n<\/a>A few years ago, I was handed several diagnoses all in the matter of two weeks. My blood pressure skyrocketed, and the panic attacks set in. One way I have to help pull me out of an anxiety attack is to write. Though I had several projects in the works, I wanted to start something new. Tackle some short stories I had floating in my head. So I began what I still call my “short story.” Today, that “short” story is two million words long.<\/p>\n

Expedition: Andromeda<\/em>\u00a0follows the story of how Earthlings found themselves in the middle of a war in the Andromeda galaxy and how, upon meeting the leader of the Raythian Empire, begin working together to bring an end to the war. At the center of it all is Dr. Victoria Carson from Earth\u2019s Expedition: Andromeda crew, and Supreme Commander Zy\u2019nayth, leader of the Raythian Army and Fleet.<\/p>\n

Victoria and her associates want to find out how they can put an end to the war between humans of the galaxy and the Rayth who have to feed on the humans\u2019 energy in order to survive. Zy\u2019nayth wants the same thing, however, he\u2019s fighting a rebellion against the Empire, as well as internal struggles with the High Chancellor of the Empire, who also happens to be his brother.<\/p>\n

It’s my hope that I can break the story into weekly bite-sized bits and keep you up to date on what Victoria and her friends are doing. The story started out as an adventure, but now, three years and two million words later, it’s an ongoing tale of what one group of people have to deal with on a day-to-day basis…it has become a story about family, and the constant threat hanging over that family due to their relationship with Zy’nayth.<\/p>\n
